TRACK AND FIELD AT FERN--UPDATE

Fern's track and field team did really well at the area championships meet at York University. Our student-athletes have been practising extensively over this past month and at the meet they had the chance to challenge themselves and compete in their events at a beautiful track facility at York. All of our students demonstrated a wonderful school spirit by giving their best effort at their events and in cheering each other on. Overall, our school athletes did exceptionally well, as a large number of our athletes in the junior and senior divisions have qualified for the conference championships on June 4th at York. Twenty six of our athletes won a top three spot, in a variety of events from sprints and jumps, to the football throw. Yes we have a football throw event, and our girl representative came in 1st! Congratulations to all that participated in the meet and we wish all the best to our athletes that qualified to the track and field championships.
